Camper Trailer Hire popularity increasing
- Feb 26th, 2015
Camping has always been a popular choice for people to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The car gets packed to the brim with tents, air mattresses, sleeping bags, table, chairs, BBQ, kids bikes, fishing rods, food boxes and of course the eski. Then the drive to somewhere remote, to find your little haven, be it in the bush, on a river bank or along a beach. Starting with unpacking the whole car, the set up begins of your home away from home. Sometimes this process takes a couple of hours to get it just right, especially if you have a large tarp to put up, with the numerous poles that go along with it. Even though it may just be a weekend getaway, it doesn’t matter that you spend the most part of the weekend setting up and packing away, what matters is the relaxing time with family and friends in the middle. Imagine if that was easier.
The last few years have seen camping evolve in to a new era of getting away. More and more people from all walks of life are discovering the benefits of camping, be it from discovering more remote parts of this beautiful country or just a way of saving a bit of money on a family holiday. But as time is increasingly one of the hardest parts of life to manage, we want to spend less time setting up and packing away, especially after a long drive to get to our destination, and want to enjoy more time relaxing once we get there.
Enter: camper trailer camping, or “glamping” as some people put it.
Camper trailer camping means you can pack the trailer before you leave with all your essentials, technically meaning your car is less filled (although we’re still trying to work out why this theory doesn’t work for us – we are still learning to “pack light”). It means that once you find your little piece of paradise away from home, then all you need to do is open it up, usually taking 10-15 mins for the novice. No need to make the bed or blow up air mattresses, no need to set up large tarpaulin shelters, just open up a couple of camping chairs, reach into the fridge for a cold drink, sit back and relax. And then at the end of your stay, you just need to put everything neatly in its place, close the camper trailer up, hook it back up to the car and drive to your next destination, or home.
To buy a hard floor camper trailer seems a large outlay, particularly to someone that has never camped or never camped with a camper trailer before. Bean Offroad Camping Camper Trailer Hire aids people in their decision of whether camper trailer camping is something that will make their camping experience easier and more relaxing. It is a superb tool to use before the outlay of purchasing a camper trailer. Basically, you can try before you buy.

With the ever increasing popularity of camper trailers and hiring one before you decide to buy one, you really need to start planning ahead if you want to experience one on your next holiday. Here at Bean Offroad Camping, we find that school holidays are the first choice for people wanting to hire a camper trailer. The most popular periods are the Christmas, Easter and July school holiday times, with people sometimes booking these periods up to 12 months in advance. As a general rule if you are looking at these periods, we would suggest you book your holiday before the previous school holiday period, say about 4 – 6 months in advance, further if you are well organised. Other popular periods are between April and October for people wanting to avoid the wet season and head north. And if you book more than 6 months in advance and a pay a 50% deposit, you could save yourself 10%, depending on the length of your booking.
